Jared Eborn is running for Salt Lake County Council to deliver leadership that puts people first. fighting for working families, affordable child care, environmental stewardship, and smart use of taxpayer dollars.

A Utah State University graduate with degrees in Mass Communications and Sport Management, Jared brings over 25 years of professional experience across daily journalism, event management, and corporate communications. He spent 15 years as a writer, reporter, and editor for outlets including the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News, then founded Extra Mile Racing — organizing 150+ endurance events over a decade. That work required close collaboration with cities and counties to navigate procedures, policies, and public safety. He now helps businesses craft clear, effective messaging.

Raised as the second of seven children in the Bear Lake Valley, Jared comes from a family of farmers and educators. Education, family, and community have shaped who he is and who he'll be as your representative.

Jared and his wife have lived directly in the center of County Council District 3 for over two decades. It's where they built their life, raised their four children, and are planning their future. He's committed to serving with integrity, transparency, and a genuine passion for progress.
